I don't really have the whole memory-scent connection like a lot of people (my friend, Tara, smells "Christmas" pretty often, mainly when she's driving)- but there are some scents that just make me happy. The smell of a fire burning really does that for me. I've never had a fireplace, so I really enjoy it when I'm around one (with a fire burning, duh)... also, bonfires. We did have a "bonfire" when I was little... it was really just cardboard and newspapers in a really big barrel, but I always enjoyed it. I guess I was also kind of a fire bug when I was young too... so there's that. BUT these scents are not to be confused; melting Barbie DOES NOT smell the same as a bonfire.

So, anyway, the smell of a fire burning is just pretty great. End of story.
