This post has no purpose, I just felt like writing it.
Happy Sunday everyone ☺

{vegan doughnut holes gone wrong}
This doughnut recipe just didn't work for me. I used cake flour instead of all-purpose, and it was just so runny.... so, I used some wheat flour to thicken it up. WRONG-O! I ended up having to pinch the dough into balls because I couldn't form them into doughnuts. After they came out of the oven I rolled them in melted butter and then sprinkled on cinnamon & sugar. They looked really good, but tasted like soft pretzels, and that was so not what I was going for.
This stuff makes some pretty good tacos and meatballs (especially meatballs)! I know it doesn't look very appealing (raw or cooked, really) but it is actually good. At least, it's good when you haven't had real beef in over a month.
Only the best taco fillings ever. I like avocado too, but Mikey doesn't :(
These were taken after I put my "doughnut holes" in the oven. I swear, she's such a good girl when we're home. She plays with Clyde & Juggernaut, then naps for a good while, lays near the window and looks out without barking, and she knows "shake," "sit," "jump up," and "lay down." She's awesome!
But, when we leave her home alone (Clyde stays in our walk-in closet, to keep his barking to a minimum- collars do not work on his scruffy neck) she goes bat shit crazy. We've un-kennel trained her, because she's started barking while in it (and we can't handle more noise complaints from our neighbors- $$). She did so well for a while, but now every time we come home she's chewed up something (paper mostly, pens, pencils, books, Mikey's shoes, CDs, lotion, the dog nail clippers, her brush, etc.). We'll probably have to start putting her in her kennel again soon, so hopefully we won't get another noise complaint because the third one usually comes with an eviction notice.
Hope you've had a good weekend!
