It's been a while, I know. There's really no excuse for not keeping this blog up to date.... I don't have a job, I don't have kids, I don't even really keep the apartment tidy or cook dinner... so, I'm not busy. It's definitely not that.
There's just not much to say. True, I don't have much motivation to post regularly, but there's really nothing to post about anyway. I'll get out of this funk eventually, sooner or later..
On to the post... I turned 23 last week. It's weird. I actually feel like I should have turned like... 25 or 26. I just feel old. But, I'm really closer to 20, still... and that makes sense, considering where I am in my life. Hopefully once I turn 25, I'll feel like I am 25 (or younger) and be happier about my life than I am at the current moment.
Anyway! Here's some pictures and details from my birthday :)

My best friend, Tara also turned 23 the same day as me. Yea, she stole my birthday. But I do think it's pretty cool that we share that. Our Social Security numbers are also only off by 1 number; something I've always thought was pretty awesome.
Besides it being my birthday, Tara's birthday, AND Groundhog's Day- February 2 is also my Ole Soul's (my dad's grandmother) birthday. This would've been her 89th birthday had she not passed away last year. I wish I'd spent more time with her while she was here.
{I love you & miss you!}
I love that Lily lets me lay on her like a pillow.
Mikey & Lily got on the swing set at the park.
We made spring rolls for the first time ever. Above is a picture of their insides, the raw rolls, and then after they were baked. Next time we're going to fry them; the rice paper was way too chewy baked like that.
I handmade a planner for Mikey, to keep track of his school things.
We went to the dog park a lot last week (and the week before) because it already feels like spring outside. Though, it was pretty chilly out today.
Mikey got me some gorgeous lilies for my birthday. The buds are still blooming, and each flower has opened up more and more each day. Plus, they smell amazing!
He also got me a book I've been wanting (and now I'm over half way thru), Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling, as well as two pairs of really cute earrings & a necklace from Sisters.
We went out with some friends the night before my Birthday. We were still at College Hill at midnight when I 'turned 23.' While we were there, we played two games I've never played before, slapjack & [never have I ever] Jenga.
On my actual birthday- Mikey made pancakes for breakfast, gave me my gifts, then we went to campus where I read my new book while sitting at the fountain, during which time he was in class. For dinner we made a pizza and some hummus (without tahini, plus some kalamata olives)- with pita chips, carrots, and cucumbers for dipping.
We attempted to make our favorite chocolate cake recipe vegan, but failed.
Got some yummy pomegranate wine from World Market (my favorite place to get wine). It's a little sweet, but I like it.
I've been eating cheese and sometimes mayonaise, so I guess my diet hasn't been full-fledged vegan.
We cleaned out our junk closet- and found a picture of us from 2004. More of my teenage pictures can be seen here.
Juggernaut remains the cutest cat in the world; no question about that.
Drive came out on DVD and Mikey bought it immediately. We already saw at the theatre, way back when it came out... and now we've watched it at home about three times. The soundtrack is awesome, by the way.
I have decided not to move to Fayetteville right now; not yet, anyway...
