Playing with my pups

Lily and Clyde have been really into playing "fetch" lately. We don't actually call it fetch, but that's essentially what it is, at least when they bring the ball back.

Lily's pretty good about bringing back the ball when we yell "good catch; now bring it back," or something like that. With Clyde we have to tell him to stay (so that he won't run away with it) and then tell him to "drop it" so we can pick it up and throw it again. When Clyde gets the tennis ball to himself he likes to hide and chew it to pieces.... except when we're out walking.

Often times, when we're on a long walk with the dogs, we'll take a tennis ball to keep them occupied... just toss it and we'll run after it until one of them catches it. So, when Clyde gets the ball we usually let him keep it, because he'll just continue on walking with it in his mouth, and he behaves so much better around other dogs and people when has it (except when Lily tries to take it away from him).
It's nice to find a toy that kind of works for Clyde, just never leave him alone with one.
