Day 7: A Home Cooked Meal

For the last couple of months we've been meal planning. I made a grocery list/meal planner for us to use at the end of every week, when we go grocery shopping. It's a great way to make sure we have everything we need, it saves us money (because we only get the things that are on the list), and it's a pretty good way to get excited about all the good food we're going to eat that week!
























Anyway, it's just really great to have a plan because then we aren't really tempted by other things. It just feels really great to make your own food (or have your boyfriend make your food).



















There's often times when I really miss my family's cooking (primarily my grandma's fried okra), so I try to copy it. It's pretty fun to cook, to come up with tweaks to recipes, to make up recipes, and mostly just fun to eat :D
